honesty

so I still haven't watched top chef. I am planning on watching tonight after everyone is in bed. I would like to say i have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to watch it but that is not true, honestly I haven't been doing much of anything. Today since the house is nice and clean I have been sitting around reading blogs, watching the today show, and playing with the baby. oh but I have done a little laundry.

you know what I decided as I was reading blogs today, most of you don't have many more exciting things going on then me and I always have a block on what to write about. I usually have so much to say in real life and believe me I am so funny (not even being sarcastic there) but that doesn't come out on my blog. I wish I was a better writer but I am not so what you will get from now on is honest me. I am going to challenge myself to blog everyday (at least once a day)for a month! I think part of my problem is I wait to long to blog about something then when I want to do it is not that great anymore. so today is day 1/ oh and I am going to give my blog a new look not sure what but something new and fresh =)

UPDATE.......

Sorry I haven't been around much other than being busy I have not been feeling well. I have been having some gallbladder issues and I am having it removed on October 19Th so if you all could pray that everything goes OK. I am a little higher risk during surgery because I have had a abdominal surgery so i have a higher risk to have to be opened up again. i have a good surgeon who thinks he can do it laporscopicly with out incident so I pray he can. Also I am VERY anemic, I always have been but they cant seem to get my levels up, so I will have a blood transfusion before surgery. anyhow all that to say I haven't been feeling my greatest so sorry I have been neglecting the blog.

so I will give you a update on the kiddos:

Liz is rocking it at soccer, she is becoming so aggressive. and anyone who knows Liz knows she couldn't hurt a fly she is just too sweet. She is doing great in school, she loves school this year (she loves school period, but especially this year) she has a great teacher and of course we love our school. soccer only has about 4 more weeks and then she will be joining a swim team. She receiving a award at school this week during chapel. she ran for school secretary but did not win but she did run against a 6Th grader and as a 4Th grader she did great!

David is also playing soccer and he is doing really good. he scores so many goals and constantly running. He may be starting swimming too when Liz starts in November. As far as kindergarten goes he is doing really good he loves school. He is adjusting great and I am amazed at how much he has learned already.

Johnathan is not playing soccer you have to be 5 but he tells me all the time " when I am five I can go to kindergarten and soccer right mommy?" Johnathan still loves to sing and he is definitely a otter personality, he is always wanting to be the class clown... but he is doing REALLY good in school! like scary good maybe he is growing out of that difficult stage, can I get a HALLELUJAH?!?!?! Johnathan has a great, fun, and crazy personality

Jake is ADORABLE! He is getting huge, I swear he has to weigh close to 20 pounds already and he will be 4 months on Thursday. He goes for his check up next week. he laughs and squeals now it is so cute. He is recognizing a lot more people and is just such a good baby. Definitely mellow but when he gets mad he gets MAD! good thing that is not often. and Praise the Lord he still sleeps a lot, about 12 hours at night and 2 2-3 naps.

so all in all everyone is doing really well. John is working hard, and enjoying soccer (he loves to watch his kids, he is a AWESOME dad!)

that is it in our house for now. I am trying to make myself remember to blog more often

Whew!

I have been busy! Let me tell you I have been busy!!!! I was in Orlando, Florida for 5 days last Wednesday - Sunday... and it was great, OK worshipping with Matt Redman who I already have told you is my absolute favorite christian artist in the world! he was FABULOUS pair that with 5,000+ women and how can you go wrong! OK it was a little hot, who am I kidding it was VERY hot, so stinking hot and it was so humid it took your breath away. but fun none the less, and I learned so much it is amazing how much you can learn when you have no interruptions. did I mention we went to the cracker barrel, oh my that place is heaven to me talk about great sweet tea, us Californians do not get sweet tea at our local establishments, so seriously that is my favorite part about eating in other states. and lastly thank you all who were praying because really i didn't really miss the kids very much, I did miss John a lot, but the kids were all good when I got home and actually acted like I had never left they were like "Hi Mom" and went back to playing, oh they did stop for second to see what I bought them LOL!

we also had our seconds MOPS meeting Monday it went very well. I love MOPS this year, not that I don't every year but this year I really feel so good about the things God is doing in our groups. we have so many cool women.

OK so then after the long weekend and MOPS we took the kids to fair last night! have I mentioned before I really don't like the fair? it is so expensive people $75 just to ride the rides! John was with me and he was like just do it, so we did and they had a great time. and there was hardly any lines, it was fabulous! the kids had fun, oh and I had a funnel cake and the world was great! so now I need to get back to blogging.

oh oh oh did I mention I got a iPod? OK I Love it! I got it yesterday too late for my trip but I will enjoy it all the same. I ordered it on eBay so I got a great deal!!!!

ok, ok, back to blogging!

I have been taking a little time to figure out what I want to do with my blog, I am having it redesigned and was told switching it to wordpress would be better. I have been playing around with the wordpress, but I still like blogger better. I think it is because I am just used to it. We'll see I will try it a few more days, then decide.

The kids have had a great time going back to school.David(5) LOVES it, which makes me so glad, he tends to be a homebody and i love that he is enjoying school. Liz(9) of course loves it, seeing as she is a big 4Th grader now, she decided she would run for secretary, she gave a speech today and did a great job. she tends to be very quiet so I was very surprised at her wanting to run for something.... politics in her future??? hopefully SHE will be the first woman president! Johnathan(4) is doing great in pre-k, he is adjusting well which is great because last year he had a hard time. Jake (2months) is doing awesome sleeping from 7:30-7:30 what more can I ask for?

Also soccer is going well, other than this heat, we are at 109 today and are supposed to go up to 11 on Saturday. have I ever mentioned I hate the heat? well in case I didn't I HATE THE HEAT!!!!

this is such a fun and busy time. but I do love it. totally different parenting big kids and little kids all at once, and sometimes the days seem so long, but I am so thankful God has given me healthy and happy kids...... for the most part I got to run Jake s crying

well mostly home but busy, we started school the kids loved it. David (5) loved his teacher and all his friend, Liz (9) of course loved it she is the one who counts down the days until school starts the first day of summer. we also started soccer practices for both kids. i keep meaning to blog, but figure I will do it in the evening, well this week i have been so tired at night since I get up early... oh well
I have tons of posts I have been jotting down ideas for and I cant wait to share especially with school , soccer, and MOPS coming up I need to put blogging on the schedule. oh speaking of schedules i said i would post mine so here you go: I will probably still do some tweaking but it seemed to work good for this week, so it may stay, anyways here it is:

I think I finally figured out a routine that would best suit my time hopefully it goes smoothly.

dailies that I do everyday so I don't have to list are:
up/dress/devotion
get all things done for the day (pack bags, get water, load car)
make breakfasts/lunches/ snacks
kids up/ eat/ dress
while kids do that get Jake up and bathed and dressed
make beds
vacuum
wipe down bathrooms
empty trash
run dishwasher- when needed but I usually do this at night
make sure kids do chores
straighten up all rooms
cook

Mondays-
L-D-J- school
mops days every other week
no mops week- whatever I want to do but fun:scrapbook, crafts, blog, I really want to learn to sew but will see :)
good cleaning but not a major one
gym-9pm

Tuesdays-
L- D- school
bake
cook (any food that requires prep for the week or prep that can be done ahead of time)
house projects (organizing, specific cleaning, etc)
Liz soccer 6, David soccer 6:30
gym- 9pm

Wednesdays-

walking w/MOPS girls 8:30

errands (grocery, target,haircuts, etc)

oh yeah I have been coming up with some ideas for my cooking blog, and I am having my blogs redesigned it is going to be so cool, I cant wait for you to see!

I was thinking

You know sometimes as moms/wives/women we seem to try to juggle so many things. sometimes life seems so overwhelming with the day to day running of our homes, the daily life of school, and teaching our children all the great things they need to know. with all of that being said you know everyday i think oh i should post on my blog today but of course I get sidetracked and another week goes by. you know I always seem to have the best intentions but sometimes life happens, so if I cant post for a day I am not going to stress out BUT I am really going to try to be more consistent on this blogging thing. hey tomorrow is a new day right?

We had a crazy week..... all the kids were sick around here so I have not posted everyone is better now so I am back! Tomorrow back on schedule, see you then!

I am here....

Aren't you all excited? I am looking forward to blogging land. I have been reading all these great blogs forever and i decided to hop on the bus and start my own. I know what do I have to offer that everyone else has not covered? probably nothing, but I thought it would be fun anyways.... I am excited to share recipes, menu, organizing tips, and anything else that comes into this little brain of mine. as soon as I get this blogging stuff down I will share the links to all my favorites.

Lets see what can I tell you that is not in my profile. I am pregnant with my fifth child, yup fifth and this will be my fourth boy! my oldest is a girl and boy was she praying for a sister but the lord has other plans for us (sometimes I think they are to test my patience with all these boys running around) I had 3 boys within 12 months when my oldest David turned 1, the following week I had twin boys Matthew and Johnathan. Matthew passed away at 3 months old and I thought we would not have anymore, but the Lord took the fear away from me and he gave me peace so here we are 3 years later getting ready to have another one. i am excited of course but honestly I am a little scared, so prayers are appreciated!

My hubby John works very hard so I can stay home with the kids and I appreciate him sooooo much for that. Our anniversary is valentines day and we will be married for 9 years.

Although some days are better than other there is no where else I would rather be! I hope my blog is fun and enjoyable to all of you!!!!!
