101 things in 1001 days!

so i think i finished my list. i jotted a ton of ideas on a legal pad so i am just going to type them out in no particular order. my date for completion is October 1, 2011! perfect! so here goes

oh and a lot of mine will have 22 days to do something because they say it take 21 days to develop a habit

  1. read 1 book for fun every month for 12 consecutive months (9/12)
  2. take all the kids to the dentist!
  3. write 10 posts on my cooking blog which i have never even started blogging on!
  4. start a home schooling blog about my first year (kind of done just decided this would be my only blog right now)
  5. make bread from scratch
  6. start the day with a devotion for 22 consecutive days
  7. take the kids to the snow
  8. have another baby =) yay thanks Lilly
  9. get dressed up for a fancy date with John
  10. wear red lipstick for a week! completed! i found this red lipstick at bath and body works of all places and i use it all the time now, although it wasn't the read i was envisioning it fits the bill.
  11. menu plan for a month at a time and stick to it- tried and it just doesn't work, i work best week to week
  12. have a yard sale- had one with some friends, had tons of stuff and none of us made much money booooo
  13. start a Christmas club account at the bank
  14. save a $1000 just because we need a savings
  15. invite a neighbor over for lunch
  16. plan a day to make a bunch of meals for the freezer
  17. have a family portrait taken finally after like 6 years we had it done and they are great!
  18. journal- not on the blog on paper =)
  19. sew something
  20. by yearly passes to Disneyland and take the kids at least 6 times
  21. sell some stuff on eBay/Craig's list to buy myself a nice SLR camera (Johnnie bought me one for Christmas
  22. take a photography class
  23. hang some pictures in my family room- done! i still want more but i have a great start!
  24. and in the hall
  25. drink 6 glasses of water a day for 22 days straight- i have been doing this since i am pregnant for some reason i love water this pregnancy
  26. buy a jogging stroller (found one for $40 on Craigs list)
  27. go on regular walks
  28. get a nice entertainment center for the family room (John built me one YAY!)
  29. throw a party for my husband
  30. memorize a passage in the bible once a week for 12 weeks (6/12)
  31. go on a girls weekend with friends not for mops/church just for fun
  32. run a half marathon (hey a girl can dream cant i?) I am hoping to really do this now~
  33. start savings accounts for the kids
  34. go on vacation with some other couples- no kids
  35. put some furniture in the formal living room- whoop whoop done!!!!
  36. plant a garden- planted it, praying it will grow HA!
  37. scrapbook with Liz
  38. go on a date once a month for a year straight!
  39. teach the kids how to cook some stuff
  40. paint Liz's bathroom-
  41. wake up before 6 for 30 days straight
  42. go to bed before midnight for 30 days straight
  43. tear out all the junk out of our soon to be room that we don't want in there- woo-hoo completed!
  44. paint our room-
  45. carpet our new room
  46. buy a nice bed (not the mattress just the bed itself)
  47. put window coverings in that room
  48. move into our actual bedroom
  49. buy a big white board
  50. buy a computer for the kids, or buy me a mac????
  51. decorate our home-school room
  52. try a new recipe once a week for 12 weeks
  53. lose 50 pounds whoop whoop i a so excited over that one!
  54. let the kids plan a vacation
  55. re-do our bathroom
  56. decorate the boys bathroom in something i really like
  57. blow insulation into the house- we did the attic!!!! yay! we now did the boys room yay!
  58. replace 12 windows in the house (7/12)
  59. replace the other 12 windows
  60. take the kids on a out of town trip by myself- visited my friend Belinda!
  61. write a letter to a friend the old fashioned way
  62. make a budget- stick to it for 6 months
  63. take a cooking class
  64. take a sewing class
  65. read 6 books on home-schooling
  66. decide on curriculum- purchase it! school has so far had everything i need
  67. get life insurance
  68. eat a vegetarian meal once a week for 12 weeks (12/12) this was WAY easier than i thought!
  69. eat 5 servings of veggies for 22 days straight
  70. resurface the pool
  71. put a diving board in
  72. find a swing set
  73. get patio furniture
  74. get front loaders (for energy savings of course)
  75. don't yell at the kids for 22 consecutive days (i know i can do it?!!!!!)
  76. no TV for a week
  77. plan for a cruise- going for our anniversary
  78. meet another blogger that i did not know before blogging in real life.
  79. comment on 10 blogs that i read and don't comment on for a week-
  80. have the back trees pruned- completed in May!
  81. volunteer in the community with the kids
  82. attend a Wednesday night service (i haven't been in YEARS!)- all the kids are in Awanas and small groups and John and I joined a small group too YAY
  83. teach the kids the importance of praise and worship and do it with them on a daily basis for 22 days straight
  84. take the kids to the park once a week for 6 weeks (i hate the park they love it!)
  85. take Liz on a over night girls trip just me and her
  86. fix the curtains in my family room so they are not capri's
  87. teach the kids some basic Spanish
  88. no sugar for 22 days!
  89. go in for a complete physical
  90. have lunch with a friend that i haven't seen for a while
  91. invite a family over for dinner who has never been to our house
  92. make a Christmas budget and stick to it
  93. go on a picnic
  94. clean all closets out
  95. take my mom to the movies
  96. have a 100 women in our mops group- and meet there needs as much as we can- well this is done as much as i could do since i am no longer coordinating or going to that church we got up to 80 and i think they were pretty happy. my new group that i attend has close to a 100
  97. teach my kids the importance of having vision and goals
  98. go to the library every other week for 6 months
  99. take flowers to Matthew's grave
  100. lead someone to the Lord
  101. unspoken

  3. LOL! I had to look at #90 and 91 to see if that last comment was from me! That's totally something I would say. It must be a Katie thing.

    ANYway, it's funny you put #78 on there...not something I'd ever imagine, but I just asked a new local blogging friend on a blind lunch date. I wouldn't have put it on my list b/c it didn't even occur to me!!!
