John and i went alone to Vegas, we love love love Vegas there is so much to do and see (and EAT!) and we had a great time. neither one of us won ANY $$$ but a great time was had. we went to 2 shows, a first for us. the first a Cirque De Solei show YAWN it was cool to watch but we were lost, and a comedian that was hilarious and it was a clean show so that was good. here we are getting ready to go down to dinner and see KA (the YAWN show)
my favorite thing about Vegas is the food. seriously every great food in the world is in Vegas, we didn't do one buffet (i hate buffets) so we ate yummy yummy food. this was the BEST salad i have ever ate, all it is is shrimp, blanched green beans, bacon, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. i am going to try to replicate this soon with out the the bacon maybe cucumber in its place.
no joke, the best donuts EVER warm fresh made Cinnamon and sugar donuts, they had like a yummy light filling of Cinnamon and cream and caramel sauce to dip them in (didn't need it so good without)
we came home and headed out the very next day and surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland. we got free tickets for volunteering we made blankets for project Linus and got tickets. it was the best to wait and surprise them it was priceless!
Jake wasn't quite sure of what to think of the rides but ended up loving the day.
my mom wanted to keep Lilly for the day so we could go and her not be cranky but i decided i wanted all of us to go. OH MY she was so fabulous when she was tired she just went to sleep and she chilled the whole day, she is the best baby!!!
we ended the day by getting the kids treats, Jake a cupcake and the other kids a ice cream. we spent a total of $19.78 the WHOLE time we were there. we packed our lunch took drinks in and had a great time. no souvenirs needed just rides!
