4 years ago.....

Johnathan and Matthew were born. my beautiful boys were born 8 weeks early weighing in at 5lbs. 8ounces. and 5lbs. 10ounces. they both lost over a Pound while in the hospital but were so strong. this day is SO bittersweet probably why I waited so long to post this, because although it seems like it has went by so fast, it seems like so long since I have held Matthew. If I would have known then I would only have him for 11 weeks I Would have kissed and held him more, not worried about schedules and nap times. I would have held him all day. I can still smell his sweetness if I think back. he was so cuddly and had these big ol' cheeks. we had the worlds worst camera so I have very few pictures, if I only would have known..... I bet he had a awesome birthday today with our Saviour, and all the angels singing to him. I cant wait to hold him again!

But back to Johnathan, today he turns 4! he is so sweet and so funny, he loves to sing, and he is so loud! he is becoming such a fun kid. he loves his big brother David and Liz so much, and even likes Jake too :) we are excited to see all the things God has planned for this little boy!

  1. I am sorry that this is such a bittersweet day, but it seems like God's grace has carried you through.

  2. Oh I'm so sorry. Your boys were beautiful babies and Jonathon is a cute little guy. I can't imagine how you feel after losing one son but you seem to be handling it well. I hope Jonathon had a happy birthday and you have a good weekend.

  3. I can't even begin to imagine the loss of a child. I am so sorry you had to endure that. It sounds like God has carried your family through the fire and you held on tight. God works all things out for the good to those who love Him. I hope your son has a wonderful birthday.

Thanks for the reminder for all of us to hold and play with our children more. Life is short. What a beautiful testimony you are to your MOPS group. God is using you in a mighty way through this. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Congratulations with your boy..boys.
Doesn't loosing a child always make a mom vulnerable on these days?

It's each year different... but our little babies always stay in our hearts.

  5. This brought tears to my eyes, I am so sorry you had to go through such pain.

What a blessing to have Johnathan and celebrate a beautiful birthday. One day you will hold Matthew again, and your right, He must have had an awesome birthday w/ our Savior.

Thank you for praying for my neiphew, it means a ton :)
