Works for Me Wednesday

wfmw

I cant believe this is my first time participating in a WFMW i read the all the time have intentions of doing it but just never do. so this week is the week to jump in. When we first bought this house 8 months ago i knew i wanted a "command" center. a place where we could put backpacks, sports schedules, coupons, write notes, etc, etc. With 3 school age kids, a toddler and 1 on the way we have to stay organized so this area in my kitchen/dining serve as the perfect spot.

my secret sister last year got me this board, and John installed these coat hooks under it but i had nothing to put under my bulletin board... until last week! i went to a thrift store and found this pier 1 bench with doors that open up that fit perfectly in the space. it is a perfect space for the kids to put there shoes on in the morning. i want to get some storage baskets for the area that opens up to store swim caps, goggles etc. and maybe one for paper work i need to go through.

  1. That's a great idea. And THANK YOU for posting that the hooks and board are separate! I had been looking for an all in one thing but was afraid the backpacks would pull the hooks out. But not if they're mounted in the wall :-)

  3. That looks wonderful! Our house isn't set up with a place I could do something like that, but I wish it was.

  4. I think I may be able to find room for a little one in my home. Although I've only one child to keep track off the amount of paperwork she provides is astonishing.

  5. Something similar has saved my sanity with our family of 3 kids!
